Since I ahve already talked about teh races themsevles, I will talk about what I did before them. That is to say, I will tell you all precisely what I'd had to eat before I left to go rowing: 2 slices of toast. and that's it. Oh well, I'm a dumb-fuck and that proves it quite comprehensively. Then there was the whole thing about not having much room either on the river or off it for maneouvering of boat. We had to find enough room to put the damn thing together for the race, and then work our way up past all these boats that were very clsoe together without crashing into any of them. But we did do some very class maneouvering and got to the start with little mishap. It was getting back down that was the crap part, since we suck. We didn't do too badly, but we could have done better, and then of course, back in, tired as fuck. Only one set of three toilets, so everyone was finding a slightly, note the 'slightly', secretive place in which to relieve themselves. Eventually certain members of my crew decided they'd have some fun and went and peed up against the houses. Then going up river for teh second race, we had to hang around for another hour just waiting to start. Not quite as long a we had to wait for the first race, I don't think, but still far too much time wasted. First time around we talked about random shit to whoever, and chatted with the crews next to us, I was talking mainly to Resek behind me about things like having a porta-loo in the boat, since loads of people in the other crews were getting out, wading through the river to the bank, where they could have a piss. Second time around, we were doing random things like the slapping contest, talking about sly ones, guess what that means, and other random stuff just for fun. It was quite nice just sitting there talking with people I like, except Harry, who is a bit of a cock. Now I'm just gonna have to wait for the National Schools Head next Monday and hope I don't actually collapse during the race. It's a 7.5km course, where the weekend's races were each 4.25km, and is during the school day, so I get to miss some shit, but still. It's 7.5km, and I'm not the world's fittest athlete. I'm just gonna have to tone up over the next 6 days and hope. Wish me luck. Just want to say one thing about sea rowing, which thank god we don't do ever, apparently some of the boats that they use don't have the seats that you slide up and down in, so what the rowers have to do is wear g-strings (which I like to call Bum-Floss) and then vasoline up their asses. God, fuck, that's gotta chafe!
Now for other shit. Since I'm as boring as shit, and a loner, nothing is happening in my life. All I have to say is, Costy is v. shiny. I am also getting some grades back now, from the mocks which I'm sure I have already griped about on here, if I haven't I'll give you the abridged version: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!! that's it. Anyway, been doing kind of well, but my inability to learn set texts in the classics has cost me quite a lot. I got a crap below 70% in my Greek, and a 76% in the Latin, which is so gay. I was doing great in both until I got to the literature. Fuck literature. On the other hand, there has been some literature that has been very good to me recently. Got the english exam back: 85% which is very good for me, and for most other people as well in fact. I'm pleased with that. Got Electronics back yesterday, only 93%, which considering my past record and the ease of the exam is quite crap. Maths I got 88%, because I made loads of little niggly mistakes that cost me, enough to bring me down by about 5 or 6 percent, but it doesn't matter. They're just mocks, now I know what I need to revise. And chemistry and Biology came back as well. Chemistry. I remember the end of last year well. Most of the other triple award sets were doing really well. My set did shit. The highest mark was about 80% and we had marks going down to the thirties. That was bad, since we only got a couple of "good" marks, but this year, we did better. The highest mark was only 74% this year, but I don't think anyone got below 55% as well. I got 71% this year, which I have so far discovered to be the second best in the class, and I made a couple of glaringly obvious mistakes which were only due to me being totally blind. Go me. Biology: I don't think there are many people that would argue with me (except you, Tom) when I say our teacher in Bio this year is shit. So we didn't have very high expectations, and also there was a question worth over 10% of the marks that we hadn't actually studied. No one decided to teach us about that, so we had to struggle along. But we didn't do too badly as a class. WE DID SHIT!!!!!! I got 69% which pissed me off. Had we actually been taught that section, which was on teh kidneys btw, I would probably have got another few marks, enough to put me up into the respectable seventies range. Bugger that. Got physics back yesterday, I got 74% in that, which is pretty good. I'm pleased with it considering that I haven't bothered doing a thing in the subject since teh beginning of last school year. Geog. was shit, because I got marked unfairly, and I don't really like the subject/the teacher anymore, so I don't bother at all (btw Cyrus, bring in the alien, don't forget or I'll crucify you). I think that's all the subjects back. see y'all.

Rowing, Yay

yeah, so I row. and contrary to other people's opinions, that does not make me gay. I row with Cyrus the Virrus, in case anyone is familiar with both of us. I've come on here, first to dedicate this posting as well as all previous posts to the wonderfully shiny Costy. I also want to rant about my rowing commitments. I had planned on having a piss-up this Friday, problem is I have a rowing race on the Saturday, so I have two options, not have the piss-up and have a great evening with my mates going bowling, assuming I'm still going, or have the piss-up and row with a hang-over. Anyone help me out with this? Anyway, must dash, I have absolutely nothing else to do right now, but I'd like to keep it that way. One last thing, acoustic versions of NWA songs rock, for more info, talk to Cyrus the Virrus (who rocks as well, just so you know :D)

First Time

hi, First post on this blog.
